Reducing Costs with the V-8000

The V-8000 enables cost reductions in both capital and operating expenses. Savings in capital expenses come from removing NICs, HBAs, and local storage from the server compute nodes as well as reducing the number of switch ports utilized on the storage and data networks. This results in reduced infrastructure with higher utilizations thus lowering the capital cost for every server deployed in the enterprise.

Savings in operating expenses are derived from lower administrative costs due to less infrastructure to manage, fewer number of and flavor of drivers to maintain, and less downtime from the added reliability and availability.
